I know I keep harping on about this, but I can almost guarantee she got the gig because of who she (or her agent) knows. Voice is a networking game. At my studio we only hire VO actors that we know and can depend upon. Quite often we’d prefer one talent over the other simply because we know them and have worked with them before even if the other talent is better!

Under job experience she could sum it up as “live voice announcer for the 2016 Academy Awards on ABC” or something similar. The more ‘pumped up’ the line, the more impressive it is.
