President & CEO
Richard has been running Digital Sound Magic Recording Studios Ltd. for over 23 years. He’s very proud to be the recipient of numerous awards and accolades throughout his long and successful career. He is fluent in English, Japanese and some Polish which makes it a great advantage over other studios when providing services for clients around the world. After expanding to become a multi-national corporation, and with a world-wide network of partners, Richard is ready to lead Digital Sound Magic to greater services for their global clientele. Karilynne is originally from Victoria, BC, but came to Vancouver with dreams of making a big splash in the voice-over industry. As COO, she coordinates the daily operations of our studio and staff, and communicates with clients from all over the world. She has an in-depth knowledge of foreign television, film, and game industries, with a specialization in Japanese content which allows her to predict trends and easily navigate such projects. As a working voice talent herself, she also has a thorough understanding of all angles of voice over production and takes pride in the high standards she expects not only of herself but of everyone she works with.
There are hundreds of tiny details hiding in every script. Liana brings every one of them out into the light. This local talent has more than dipped her toe in many ponds and uses the knowledge she has from every splash to do the best job possible. Everything from public speaking to voice over work, writing to singing…. kickboxing to massage therapy ….and many things in between, contribute to Liana’s expertise.
Sean grew up in the beautiful province of New Brunswick. Now living on the opposite coast of the country, he makes sure to bring East Coast vibes and French culture to all of his work. Sean’s detailed approach to a script comes from his many years of studying theatre at schools in Ottawa and Vancouver. His work has been seen on stages all across North America and his voice can be heard all around the world.
Chief Engineer / Producer
Devon is from Vancouver, BC. He has always had a strong passion for audio. Discovering his first DAW in elementary school, Devon has lived and breathed audio ever since. He studied post production at Nimbus School of Recording Arts before joining the dream team at Digital Sound Magic.
Audiobook Director / Engineer
Guillermo has always loved music and has been a guitar player since youth. He found a home on the other side of the glass with Digital Sound Magic and enjoys working with talented actors, directors, and musicians to help them realize their creative vision. Along with a top notch education from Nimbus School of Recording, Guillermo is ready and willing to put his skills to use for you.
Joshua (aka ‘Shua)’ has a passion for the artistry of music and the narrative of interactive media. Driven by this, he strives to bring an imaginative dynamic to everything he does, creating sounds that are at once unique and reflective of the greater experience of audio and video production. He enjoys both the creative process and technical precision required to seamlessly stitch together memorable experiences for the audience.
Liam is very passionate about audio, his life revolves around it. He studied at Nimbus School of Recording & Media, which led him to join this amazing team at Digital Sound Magic. If he isn’t here working on the next big project, he’s in the studio working on new music, collaborating with other artists, running his record label, or DJ’ing at night clubs and music festivals.
Jenny has brilliant ideas! Jenny’s love of organizing makes her a great fit for the role of producer and creative director. Her superior editing skills and copywriting experience also bring added punch and saleability to any written material. Jenny also helps clients with their presentations by guiding the performances of company leaders and actors.
Head of Happiness
Being the Head of Happiness, Emma understands the importance of mental health in the workplace. She loves to make everyone smile and is always ready to lend a paw to anyone who needs a little help. While she technically works for DSM on a volunteer basis, she has asked us to add that, when possible, belly rubs are always appreciated.
